The Amazons capture Arion but he cannot be tamed by any Amazon. Queen Hylla gives Arion to Hazel for their escape plan, and Arion pulls a chariot holding Percy, Hazel, and Frank to Alaska. Arion helps Hazel’s fight against Alcyoneus and pulls Alcyoneus into Canadian territory. Arion drags a chariot full of Imperial Gold to the battle at Camp Jupiter against Polybotes’ army. After Leo’s attack on New Rome, Hazel flees on Arion and they run along side the Argo II. Arion runs away as Leo gives Hazel a tour of the stables.
